Thank you to everyone who participated in our Winter Workshop, Teaching Evidence-Based Vocabulary Intervention Techniques with Catherine Alexander. It was a wonderful time of learning and growing together!
We are excited to announce a new location, Michael’s at Shoreline, for our Spring luncheon held this year on Friday, June 1st. We will be continuing to combine our annual luncheon with a 3-hour workshop. Our speaker this year, Virginia Sanchez-Salazar from the Diagnostic Center-Northern California, will be presenting on the important topic of Selective Mutism. As always, we will have our much anticipated annual raffle, Honors of the Association, Student Scholarship, and quality time to connect with one another.
Prior to the Spring Luncheon you will be receiving an email to vote on approving our bylaw revisions and our new President and Vice President. Your vote is very important to us. We will approve the bylaws with two thirds of the votes received. We will approve the President and Vice President positions with a majority vote.
It has been a pleasure working with you all this past year. I would like to thank each and every one of you for being a member of SCCSHA. We love seeing you at our events and are glad that you are part of the SCCSHA family. I would also like to thank all of our dedicated board members who volunteer their time to serve this organization and our profession. It’s been an honor serving alongside such an amazing group of SLPs.
Please save October 12th, 2018 as the date for our Fall Workshop at the Santa Clara County Office of Education on “Social-Pragmatic Skills: A Team Approach to Intervention” and “Integrating your Therapy into the SDC Classroom: Effective Tools and Techniques (PreK through High School).” Thank you all and see you on June 1st!
